John Rogers, CO's Obituary
John Wayne Rogers, CO of Seaford, DE passed away at Dorchester General Hospital on Thursday, October 27, 2011. He was 44 years old.
He was born November 21, 1966 in Bangkok, Thailand, the son of Ranee Hirinvithiya Rogers of Rhodesdale and the late Walton Wayne Rogers, Sr.
He graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1988. He worked as a correctional officer for twelve years for the state of Delaware at James T. Vaughn Corrections in Smyrna, De and Sussex Correctional Institute in Georgetown, DE. He loved his family dearly.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Gloria Lynn Hawkins Rogers of Seaford, a daughter, Brianna Marie Rogers of Federalsburg, MD, two step-sons, Michael K. Sacona of Seaford, DE and Jason R. Sacona of Hidenitte, NC, seven stepgrandchildren, four sisters, Sirivan Rogers of Bangkok, Thailand, Ty Rogers of Rhodesdale, MD, Lena Williams (Stuart) of Laurel, DE, Christine Beck (Mark) of Rhodesdale, MD, a brother, Wayne Rogers, Jr. (Priscilla) of Rhodesdale, MD, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Greg Collins, CO. He loved his family dearly.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
