Joseph James Bowden's Obituary
Joseph James "Joey" Bowden of Frederica, DE died on July 1, 2024 in Christiana Medical Center, as a result of injuries he received in a motorcycle accident. He was 21.
Born on April 10, 2003 in Seaford, DE; he was the son of Carl Chance, Jr. and Kimberly Ellis Chance, and the late Kenneth Bowden. After attending public schools, Joey worked at various jobs, at the time of his death he was a Safety Truck Driver for Sussex Protection Services.
Joey loved motorcycles, and hanging out with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings; Roy Elzey III "Mac" (Holly), of Denton, MD; Crystal Hignutt (Chris MacDonald) of Greenwood, DE; Justin Hignutt (Kathy), of Seaford, DE; Logan Chance, of Virginia, Luke Chance U.S.M.C. Daniel Chance of Virginia, and Alex Chance of PA. His maternal Grandmother; Jane Ellis of Bridgeville, DE; his paternal Grandparents; Carl Sr. and Dorthy Chance of Greenwood, DE; and a special person who was like his second father; George Hignutt. Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Framptom Funeral Home- Fleischauer Chapel, on Monday July 8, 2024 at 2:00PM where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00PM.
Burial will be in the St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
