Joseph Michael DiJoseph, JR.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Joseph M. DiJoseph, Jr. 80 of St. Michaels announces his passing on February 7, 2022 to be with the Lord.
Joe was born on December 4, 1941 to Isabel and Joseph M. DiJoseph, Sr. in Roxborough, PA.
On November 24, 1960, Joe married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Mary Ann Roscioli.
Joseph is survived by his wife Mary Ann, and his two daughters Michele DiJoseph Simmons of St. Michaels and Suzanne DiJoseph Weiss (Raymond) of Bozman, two sisters Loretta Ann DiJoseph Gray (John) and Geraldine Isabel DiJoseph Hunter.
Joe has six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Raymond, Justin, Cory, Amber and Stephen. Also three sweet great grandchildren, Kamryn, Paisley and Ensley, all of whom he loved so much! Joe was preceded in death by his oldest son Joseph M. DiJoseph, III (August 2020) and his parents Joseph M. DiJoseph, Sr. and Isabel DiJoseph.
He enjoyed his many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Joe had a passion for boating (our gang), fishing, raising farm animals, horseback riding, dancing and especially gatherings with his family and friends. He was always the "Life of the party".
Before retiring, Joe and Mary Ann owned and operated a restaurant in Wayne, PA. Later, they moved to Tilghman Island and opened a subshop/convenient store/Post Office in McDaniel, MD where they made many friends.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" at the Tilghman Island Fire Hall on Saturday, April 23, 2022 @ 3:00 pm.
The service will be officiated by the Reverend David Kelly.
There will be a buffet to follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Tilghman Island Fire Company will be appreciated very much.
