Joseph Edward Engle's Obituary
Joe "Grizz" Engle was born in Cambridge, MD on March 20, 1948 to Howard and Lerew Engle. He gained his wings on April 26, 2026 at Compass Hospice in Centreville, MD.
He graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in 1966. He then joined the United States Air Force in September of 1966 and served until July of 1972. He then made his home in San Bernardino, CA before coming back to Maryland in 1973 where he met Linda Johnson. They got married on January 4, 1974. He had a love for mud hopping, fast cars, and of course his beloved Harley Motorcycles. He worked at Preston Trucking for many years, until their doors closed, and then went to Ferguson Trenching, where he retired in 2021.
He is reunited with his daughter Michelle Engle; his grandson EJ Mulder; and his parents Howard and Lerew Engle.
He leaves behind his brother William Engle and his wife, several nieces and nephews, his grandkids Shawnee and Chelsea, Travis; his great-grandkids Aleks, Brooklynn, Bristol and Kaylee; his mini four legged "kids"; and the love of his life, his loving wife Linda Engle (City Kitty).
He wasn't a man of many words, but had lots of love for his family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
