Josephine J Patchett's Obituary
Josephine J. Patchett, formerly of Federalsburg, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the William Hill Manor in Easton, MD. She was 88 years old.
She was born Dec. 16, 1918 in Federalsburg, the daughter of the late J. Arthur Johnson and Florence Handy Johnson. Her husband of 52 years, James F. Patchett, Jr. preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2002.
She was a Federalsburg High School graduate class of 1935 and attended Beacom College. She was a bookkeeper for Bendix and the former Eastern Shore Public Service. She enjoyed social activities including playing cards and going to her grandsons’ ball games.
She is survived by three daughters, Joanne P. Simmons and her husband, David, of Havre de Grace, MD, and Janet P. Andrews and her husband Clark, of Federalsburg and Penny P. Bunting of Seaford, DE; seven grandchildren, Clark Andrews, III, Chad Andrews, Troy Williams, Laura Rogala, Daniel Patchett, Bain Bunting, and T.J. Bunting, and a daughter-in-law, Joanne D. Patchett of Preston. A son, James F. Patchett, III, preceded her.
Services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastern Shore Veterans Chapel in Beulah, with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the William Hill Manor Community Enrichment Fund, c/o Shari Payne-Blades, 501 Dutchman’s Lane, Easton, MD 21601 or to the Memorial Hospital Foundation, Cardio-Rehab. Fund, 219 S. Washington St., Easton, MD 21601. Funeral arrangements made by Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg.
