Joyce Ann Crandell's Obituary
Joyce Ann Crandell of Federalsburg passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at TidalHealth - Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE. She was 66.
She was born on October 26, 1954 in Easton, Maryland the daughter of the late John Dawson Wells, Sr., and Myrtle Murphy Wells.
Joyce was raised in Federalsburg and after her education she held various jobs. For the longest part of her life, she was a cook at the Federalsburg McDonalds for many years. She was married to David R. Crandell who preceded her in death on October 1, 2000.
In her free time, Joyce loved reading and loving on her grandchildren. She used any opportunity to help her friends and was known to many for her good-hearted nature.
She is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Preistley and her husband Michael of Millsboro, DE, a son, Herber Johnson, grandchildren: David Preistly and his wife Trinity, Michael Preistley, III, Aaron Preistley, Makayla Johnson, Camden Johnson, Great-grandchild Baylee Preistley, Leslie Johnson, Brothers: Dawson Wells and his wife Judy, and Michael Robins, Nephews: Shawn, Leo and PJ Duffy, and two fur babies Chico and Freckles who she loved very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Duffy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Peter Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00. Burial will be private.
