Joyce Lankford's Obituary
Joyce Ann Ball Lankford of Federalsburg passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford. She was 65.
She was born on February 2, 1942 in Cambridge, Maryland the daughter of the late Manley Harper Ball and Sadie Evelyn Hubbard Ball
She had previously worked for Solo Cup Company and LA Market both in Federalsburg. She was a former member of His Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Federalsburg. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, and arranging flower arrangements, She enjoyed traveling across the country with her family.
She is survived by her husband, of twenty-three years, Carroll Thomas Lankford, four children, Beverly Ann Williamson and her husband, Doug, of Preston, Amy J. Elzey of Federalsburg, Roy Elzey Jr., and his wife, Missy, of Federalsburg, Charles Fairbanks, and his wife, Kelly of Federalsburg, two step-daughters, Casey Lahman and her fiancée, Hans of Sharptown, Carol Ann Eskridge, and her husband Glenn, of Seaford, 14 grandchildren, Melissa Prettyman, Nicole Dodson, Ronnie Burklew, Thomas Burklew, Katie Burlew, "Mac" Roy Elzey, III, Kristin Ott, Alex Collins, Zackery Elzey, Steven Lahman, Kristen Fairbanks, Courtney Eskridge, Samantha Lahman, Colton Lahman, 1 great-granddaughter,Chelsa Williams, a sister, Connie Sherman and her husband, Lester of Brookview, Manley “Mickey” Ball, Jr. and his wife, Phyllis of Salisbury, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Brinsfield.
Funeral services for her will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiatting. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
