Thank you for letting us to get to know Joyce. She had a wicked sense of humor and faced life with grace and style

Joyce was like Mary Poppins to us when my sisters and I were little, and always happy to spend time together as we grew up - even through the teenage years. (And that's saying a lot!) Joyce and I shared the same love for the farm where she lived for my whole life, and dogs too. I'm grateful for all the memories and also for the peace I hope she has found.
We so enjoyed helping Joyce celebrate her 80th birthday in 2018. It was great to spend time with her, her sister Ruth, and cousins Nina and Dave and meet so many of her friends.

Joyce and I were long-time friends. I remember her from 4th grade to the present, saw her a couple weeks ago. I know which teachers she admired, and those she didn't ! We graduated from NDHS in 1956. We both played tenor sax in the high school band. We also enjoyed skating at the roller rink, riding bikes, and 4-H Club. We both became local teachers. Joyce had a deep love for her dogs, brother Stanley and her nieces. I pray she is with Stanley and other loved ones today.

Joyce was one of the most interesting people I’ve ever known. She was always pushing herself out of her comfort zone allowing her lots of experience with life. She loved her brother Stanley and adored her nieces. She will be missed.
A life well-lived. May you rest in peace.
