Jozet L. Smith Dixon's Obituary
Jozet L. Smith Dixon passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at her home near Bridgeville, DE. She was 42.
She was born on July 8, 1972 in Exmore, VA, the daughter of Joseph Smith and the late Margaret Cribb Smith.
Jozet attended Queen Anne County High School where she enjoyed cheerleading and gymnastics. She later graduated from Job Corp. She worked as a CLA for DCS and for Easter Seals in Georgetown. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Georgetown. In her free time, Jozet was a cheerleading coach for Woodbridge Pop Warner for many years. She also enjoyed arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Dixon, Jr. of Bridgeville, four children, Joquon Smith, Janaya Smith, Ashonay Dixon and Alonzo Dixon all of Bridgeville, DE, her father Joseph Smith and his wife, Glinda of Hurlock, MD, one brother, Antonio Smith of Salisbury, MD, a sister, Julia Bordley of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother-in-law, Allen Bordley of Virginia Beach, VA who she loved like a brother. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny “Pete” Fisher.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Apostle Issac Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Federal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 and from 10:00 to 11:00 on Friday.
