Julia Katherine Burns' Obituary
Julia Katherine Burns, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at her home in Federalsburg. She was 72.
She was born on July 21, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late George and Katherine Duffin Mansfield.
Julia grew up in Philadelphia. She married David Burns and they made their home in Federalsburg. Julia worked at various jobs early in her married life, later she became a full time stay at home mom taking care of her family. Her husband David died on February 25, 2020. Mrs. Burns enjoyed crocheting, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Julia Hall and her husband Brett of Chestertown, a son David Burns Jr. of Federalsburg, five grandchildren Katherine Alexander and her husband Michael of Kennedyville, MD, Lewis Hall and his fiancee Kelley of Federalsburg, Preston Hall of Federalsburg and Bradley Hall of Chestertown, and Edward Burns of Texas; her three brothers David Mansfield, Bucky Mansfield, Al Mansfield, four sisters Joanie Miller, Patty Stadden, Betty Richards, and Claire Saunders, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ricky Mansfield and step-mother Janet L. Wheeler.
