Julie Kim McCarty's Obituary
Julie Kim McCarty of Easton, Maryland passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Eleanor Koons Hospice House in Easton. Born on May 23, 1958 in Easton to George W. McCarty, Jr. and Doris Schuyler McCarty Massey,both deceased.Kim graduated from Easton High School in 1976 and became a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. She started her career at Accurate Optical in Easton in 1976, and held various positions in several offices and Eye Centers in Maryland, Texas and Florida. From 2003-2008 she worked for Talbot County Public Schools as a Secretary. In 2010, she attended Chesapeake College and became a certified Pharmacy Technician.
Kim enjoyed learning new things, laughter, music, and working with her hands making Jewelry, gardening, oil painting, astrology, arts and crafts. She found beauty in everything and her love for others was contagious.
Kim is survived by her son: Jason Skye Westerfield and his wife Kim, of Monck's Corner, S.C; three sister's: Debra Cole (Alton), Lynn Crouch, and Christie Spurry, one brother:Steven McCarty all of Easton. She leaves behind nieces and nephews: Caitlin Spurry Bryan (Jacob), Julia Spurry, Adam McCarty, Trey Ross (Dawn), Michael Crouch and Matt Cole. Also two Grand nephews: Connor and Cameron Ross.
Services will be private at a later date.
