June S. Jolley-Arshad's Obituary
On June 30, 1963 in Cambridge, Maryland, a bundle of joy was born named June Jolley to Essie Batson-Cephas and the late Thomas Jolley. She received her education in the Dorchester County public school system and graduated in 1981. She was employed at Country Pride, Coldwater, and Koski Trucking. She was known for her bubbling personality, her joy for life and her will to help others in need. She enjoyed being around family and friends, having fun, laughing, listening to music, dancing, and good conversation.
God called her home Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Essie Batson-Cephas and stepfather William Cephas. Her children, Joseph Stanley, Jr. and Ebony Stanley and five grandchildren, Kazmiere Stanley, Tanajah Stanley, Ezekiel Stanley, Ke'A'jha Sampson, Janiya Stanley, and one grandchild that will soon be born. Her three brothers, Granival Batson (Deborah), Thomas Batson, Ondrey Jolley, and three sisters, Shirley Luke-Peterson (William), Carleesa Jolley (Troy), and Willanda Cephas-Jenkins (Phillip). She also has a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lola Matthews-Camper, George Batson and Charles Camper and paternal grandparents, Rebecca Frazier Jolley and Martin Jolley. Her father, Thomas Jolley, her uncles, Martin Jolley, Harmon Jolley, Louis Jolley, Maurice Jolley, and Leonard Jolley and aunts, Helen Jolley, Evelyn Jolley, Ellamae Jolley, Pauline Camper, Betty Woolford, Yvonne Camper, and her brother, Corinthian Batson.
