June V. Sherman
Tilghman, June V. Sherman of Barneck, Tilghman, died at her home on Thursday, August 22, 2013. She was 78. Born on April 26, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Donald and Amy Murphy Kaiser. Mrs. Sherman worked for many years at the David Taylor Naval Research Center, in Annapolis. After her retirement she worked at JoAnn’s Fabrics in Easton, where she was affectionately known as “Miss June”. She truly enjoyed working there, having met so many good friends. Her husband Major Cornelius Sherman died in January 1998. Miss June is survived by two children; Christopher “Chris” Sherman of Tilghman and Pamela Keck of Newberry S.C. A chapel service will be held at 200PM on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Maryland Eastern-Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Heart Association Eastern Shore Division 800 East Main Street Salisbury, MD 21804 Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home, St. Michaels.
