Karen Jones' Obituary
Karen Gaskins Chase Jones of Preston passed away at her home on January 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was 55.
She was born on May 5, 1960 in Federalsburg, daughter of Georgia Ann Williams Chase of Federalsburg and the late Sherman Chase, Sr.
Karen graduated from Colonel Richardson High School with the class of 1979. She had worked for Salisbury and Caroline Nursing Homes. She was a member of Solomon’s A.U.M.P. in Hurlock. She loved to cook and feed others. Her greatest gifts were being a good wife and mother.
Besides her mother, she leaves to mourn her husband of 27 years, Oliver T. “O.J.” Jones, two children, Destinee Gaskins & Adam Gaskins both of Preston, 3 grandchildren, Adam Gaskins, Jr., Amira Gaskins, Ani-‘Jah Hammond, four siblings, Sherman Chase, Jr., Michael Chase, Lisa Bolden, Sharon Banks, & several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Wise.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12 noon at Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery.
