Kathleen West Wasmus' Obituary
Kathleen West Wasmus of Preston Maryland passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday July 9, 2025 at 6:59 am surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 16, 1950, Kathleen, who was affectionately known as Kathy, was a loving mother to and survived by her four daughters: Patricia Lynn Frase of Preston MD, Michelle Lynn Vargo of Pasadena MD (husband Craig Vargo), Christal Marie Lauterbach of Brooklyn MD (husband Rob Lauterbach, Jr.), and Shanna Marie Ferrante of Glen Burnie MD (husband Raymond Ferrante III). Fourteen Grandchildren: Randy Delano, Mindy Delano, Christa Cephas (husband Joseph Cephas), Jeffrey Frase Jr., Chelsie Frase, Victoria Schanken, Alex Vargo, Trinity Smith, Paityn Smith, Rob Lauterbach III, Cameron Wasmus, Ryanna Heintzelman, Lil Ray Ferrante IV, and Ethan Ferrante. Five Great Grandchildren: Maliyah Delano, Steven Brooks Jr., Caidyn Cephas, Everleigh Grimes and Avery Frazier. A bunch of nieces, nephews and good friends.
All the grandchildren loved their Grams and she adored each and every one of them. She loved spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed gardening, cross word & number searches, puzzles and watching HGTV.
Per her wishes there will be no viewing or service. Instead, a Celebration of Life in her honor will be held in Preston MD, time and date to be determined.
