Kathryn B. Corbin's Obituary
Kathryn Burgess Corbin passed away at the Brightview Senior Community in Great Falls, VA on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the age of 80 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The loving widow of Henry Corbin, Kathryn is survived by her sons Boyd, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Brett, of San Diego, and Will, of Gaithersburg, sister Becki Cosgrove, of Annapolis and brothers Gary Burgess of Tennessee and Jon Burgess of Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Broka V. and C. Boyd Burgess. Kathy grew up in Keyser, WV and graduated from West Virginia University with honors, with a degree in accounting. She moved to Washington, D.C. and worked at the Kiplinger Letter before marrying Hank Corbin in 1964 then moving to Annapolis, then moving Easton in 1976 to raise her family. She was an avid member of local garden clubs, a tennis player, rower, and snow skier who enjoyed spending time in Park City, Utah. A celebration of her life is planned for April 3, 2016 from 1-4 pm at the Miles River Yacht Club in St. Michaels, MD. The Corbin family invites friends of Kathy and the family to join us for a casual remembrance. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. of St. Michaels, MD.
