Keith Avon Blake, Sr.'s Obituary
Keith Avon Blake, Sr. of Federalsburg, MD passed away on Wed. May 18, 2011 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. He was 49.
Born, Sept. 21, 1961 in Easton, MD, he was the son of Alice Virginia Freeman Blake of Jonesboro, Georgia, and the late Fredrick N. Blake.
He had worked for Allen Family Foods and for the former Black & Decker.
Besides his mother, Alice Blake, he is survived by his wife Vonessia Ann Hunt Blake, three children, Keith Avon Blake, Jr. of Denton, Travine A. Blake, Sr. and Briana S. Blake, both of Federalsburg; four grandchildren Jay’vine Blake, Travine Blake, Jr., Breasia Blake, Keilani Renee Blake, seven siblings: Peggy Davis (Joseph, Sr.) of Dover, DE, Vincent Freeman (Sharon) of Easton, Reginald Freeman (Elaine) of Federalsburg, Vanessa Blake of Easton, Janice Blake of Jonesboro, GA, Darrell Blake (Tammy) of Dover, and twin brother Kevin Blake (Freda) of Cambridge, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, special God sons Eric Williams of FL, James Sampson, Jr. and Joseph Seth both of Cambridge, two God daughters Tiffany Israel of Coverdale and Keayra Green of Ridgely, in-laws Dorothy Mae and Gregory L. Williams Sr. of Federalsburg, brothers-in-law Eddie Mack Hunt, Jr. of Greensboro, MD, and Gregory Williams, Jr. of Federalsburg,sisters-in-law, Linda Dockins (Jerome) of Coverdale, MD, Vanessa Hudson (Jerome) of Denton.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Farmers Memorial Church of God in Christ in Jonestown, near Preston, with Rev. Cleon Deal, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg, MD. Friends may call at the Framptom Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
