Kirk Alan Willoughby's Obituary
Kirk Alan Willoughby of East New Market, Maryland passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the University of Maryland Medical System at Baltimore. He was 62.
He was born on March 6, 1960 In Cambridge, Maryland the son of the late Donald Lee Willoughby and Faye Jones Willoughby of Secretary.
Growing up in Secretary, Kirk graduated from North Dorchester High School with the class of 1978. He was married to Betsy Morris Willoughby on October 3, 1987. After his education he began a life-long career as a lineman with Choptank Electric and later Delmarva Power. He enjoyed working with his colleagues and recently retired in January of this year after many years of faithful service.
In his free time, Kirk enjoyed being outdoors. Crabbing, camping, working around the house, and traveling with his wife and family to Tennessee. His greatest joy was his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Willoughby of East New Market; three Daughters: Elizabeth Willoughby, Taylor Willoughby and Alexis Willoughby(Ronald Ramos) all of East New Market; and three grandchildren: Riley Harris, Bailey Harris and Savannah Willoughby; three brothers: Rickey Willoughby and his wife Linda of Salisbury, Jeff Willoughby and his wife Melissa of Hurlock, and Troy Willoughby and his wife Karen of Stevensville. Sister in-law: Michelle Klinedinst and her husband Jim Klinedinst of Dagsboro, DE and Mother in-law: Amanda Morris of Federalsburg, several nieces and nephews; and two close friends Kirk thought of as a brother: Ronnie Moxey of Hurlock and Junior Ramos of East New Market.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Bishop Ray Parsons officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00.
Burial will be private.
