Laura Jean Tennefoss' Obituary
Laura Jean Tennefoss of Greenwood passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at her home. She was 78.
Born on March 12, 1945 in Apple Creek, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late David and Etta Gerber and step-daughter of the late Mary Christner Geiser
She graduated from Central Christian High School. She later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Nanticoke Hospital and Milford Hospital and later worked at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood.
In her free time she enjoyed reading, writing and working in her flower garden. She attended Encounter Praize and Worship Center in Seaford.
She is survived by a son, James "Jim" Tennefoss of Alexandria, VA, and five siblings: Anna Neuenschwander of Orrville, OH., Dennis (Amy) Geiser of Dalton, OH., Ella Amstutz of Apple Creek, OH., Dave Geiser of Dalton, OH., and Don (Roberta) Christner of Oregon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Lavina Bissler and Verna Snyder and brothers Clair, Roy, Lloyd, Samuel and Daniel Geiser.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 1:00 at Tressler Mennonite Church in Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00. Burial will be private.
