Laura Mae Holliday Pinder passed from this life on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was 98 years old.
She was born on January 2, 1912 in East Orange, NJ, the daughter of the late Edward Richardson and Madilla Branch Richardson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Adolphus Holliday and Thomas Jethro Pinder.
She graduated from East Orange High School class of 1931 and continued her education in the nursing field. She was a nurse for several hospitals and also had worked for the Social Services Department for Dorchester County, until her retirement.
Laura Mae is survived by her brother, James W. Richardson of Broadway, North Carolina, two nephews, Robert Moore and Samuel Carrington, two nieces, Gwendolyn C. Robinson and Karyn Carrington Peyton, several great-nieces and nephews, and devoted caregivers, Charles and Demetria Potter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Carrington and Ellery Moore.
