Lawrence Marvin Towers' Obituary
Lawrence Marvin Towers passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at his home in Federalsburg. He was 66.
He was born on August 29, 1943 in Ridgely, Maryland the son of Lawrence Howard Towers and Ruth Quillen Towers.
He graduated in 1962 from Colonel Richardson High School. On October 26, 1963 he married Diane Bullock. He worked for Zaffere’s Bakery in Federalsburg and later retired from E.I. DuPont after 38 years of service.
He was the past chief and member of Federalsburg Vol. Fire Company, retired Fire Brigade art the DuPont Co., member of the Marshy Hope Rod and Gun Club, active in the Federalsburg Little League and a member of the Caroline County Soil District.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Bullock Towers of Federalsburg, a daughter, Terri T. Blanchfield of Federalsburg, a son, Jeffrey Marvin Towers and his wife, Jane of Federalsburg, three grandchildren, Ryan Alan Blanchfield, Jenna Renee Towers and Jacob Marvin Towers, three sisters, Doris Meredith and Lynne Breeding both of Federalsburg and Connie Dunnock of Cambridge.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11:00a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
