Lester Allen Draper's Obituary
Lester Allen Draper from Greenwood, Delaware went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2023 after a short illness and was surrounded by his loving family.
Allen graduated from Greenwood High School in 1957. He was an Army Veteran, Volunteered as a Greenwood Fireman, Scout Leader and local business owner for over 11 years.
He enjoyed Gospel blue grass, camping, shooting with his sons and Nascar racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marie Johnson Draper of Greenwood, a brother Donald Draper of Newark, a nephew Bruce Draper of Albuquerque, NM, grandchild Kara Renee Tharp, Son-in-law Wesley Tharp and a grandson Shawn Willey.
He is survived by his wife Ethel K. Draper (Marck) of 63 years, three sons: Marck Draper (Kim) of Mechanicsville, VA, Richard Draper (Karen) of Bridgeville, Steven Draper (Denise) of Bridgeville, and one daughter Denise Tharp of Seaford; two sisters: Elaine Rifenburg of Bridgeville and Cindy Acquaviva of Greenwood; five grandchildren: Kristin Whitley (A.J.) Cindy Carpenter (Cody), Heather Draper and Johnathan Tharp (Danielle), and Tabitha Tharp; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:00 at the Greenwood Vol. Fire Company in Greenwood.
He will rest in peace at Millsboro Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
