Lester Ray Sherman's Obituary
Lester Ray Sherman of Rhodesdale, MD passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Coastal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury. He was 69 years old.
He was born December 4, 1941 near Rhodesdale, son of Georgia Sherman Ennis of Rosedale, MD, and the late Lester Ray Bennett.
He served in Maryland National Guard for over fourteen years. He was a certified General Motors Auto Technician. Lester was also a web press assistant for Mailwell Graphics and later for Cadmus. He was a member of the Maryland-Delaware Rocketry Association and the Eastern Shore Aeromodelers Club. Over the years he drove a hydroplane and also drove a drag car.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Cornelia “Connie” Ball Sherman, whom he married July 29, 1962, two children, Terry Conner and her husband, Donald of Hurlock, Teddy Sherman and his wife, Shelley of Hurlock, four grandchildren, Matthew Conner, Samantha Conner, Justin Sherman, Courtney Sherman, a brother, Thomas Kozlowski of Baltimore, MD, and a sister, Diana Rossinger, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Kozlowski.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, PA in Federalsburg with Rev. Michael Little officiating. Interment will follow at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock, MD. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
