Lisa Lea Thompkins' Obituary
The world lost a beloved wife, mother, and Mom Mom, Lisa Lea Thompkins of Preston, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her home. She was 46.
She was born on December 8, 1975 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of James Keyser and Lillian Sadler Keyser of Baltimore.
She graduated from Mergenthaler Technical High School with the class of 1993. In her desire to serve others, she pursued a career in Nursing and became a registered nurse. She worked for Bayleigh Chase in Easton for seventeen years. She loved caring for her patients and wanted nothing else than to love and care for them, and she was equally loved by her patients.
Lisa was a dedicated mother, first and foremost, and she especially loved her role as Mom Mom. She was known by all for her kindness and selflessness and would always put the needs of others ahead of her own without a second thought, especially when it came to her children and grandchildren who were the lights of her life.
She was married to William Thompkins on January 27, 1996. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Thompkins of Preston, five children: Bobby Monroe of Easton, Mark Thompkins, Liam Thompkins, William "Bill" Thompkins, III, and Kylie Thompkins, all of Preston; two grandchildren: Logan Daley and Nolan Monroe; her parents, James and Lillian Keyser; one brother, Woody Keyser, in addition to nieces, nephews, godchildren, and countless others.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Marie Coulbourne officiating. Burial will follow at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
