lois R. (Reed) Hambleton's Obituary
Lois R. Hambleton Cambridge, Lois Reed Hambleton, formerly of Bozman, died at the Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge, on Tuesday September 2, 2014. She was 94. Born in Secretary, MD., on May 9, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel and Bertha (Hemiger) Reed. She grew up in Talbot Co. in the Travelers Rest area where she attended public school in both Royal Oak and St. Michaels. She married Horace Hambleton and they began a life working together on the farm, and later she worked with Mr. Hambleton on the water as a commercial waterman. Mrs. Hambleton was devoted to her family and her home, she enjoyed working in her garden, playing bingo, shedding soft crabs and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Hambleton is survived by her sons and their wives; Thomas E Hambleton (Mary Ann) of Bozman, Robert R. Hambleton (Patrice) of Royal Oak, three Grandsons; Thomas E Hambleton, Jr. (Melanie), Robert R. Hambleton, Jr.(Stephanie) and Patrick H. Hambleton (Lauren). She is also survived by three Great-grandchildren; Elijah, Shiloh, and Piper Grace, one brother-in-law Harry Evans of Easton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, a sister; Susie Evans, and a Great-granddaughter; Alaina Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held at the Ostrowski Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:00PM where friends may call one hour before the service. Burial will be in the Bozman Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Easton Vol. Fire Dept. 315 Aurora Park Drive, Easton, MD. 21601.
