Lola Jean Timms Luff's Obituary
Lola Jean Timms Luff passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her home in Easton, Maryland. She was 73.
She was born on June 2, 1941 in Baltimore City, Maryland, the daughter of the late Louis Calvin Timms, Sr., and Pearl O. Quillen Usilton.
She had worked as a dispatcher and office manager of Florida Rock, now known as Vulcan Materials in Easton. She retired after 30 years of service.
She was a member of Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg and attended the Easton Senior Center. She was a member of the Easton AARP. She loved spending time with her family. Her favorite times of year were Christmas Eve and the Superbowl. She enjoyed the beach, gardening, playing bingo, and was fan of the Chicago Bears.
She is survived by three sons, Chuck W Schmitt and his wife Barbara of Easton, Eugene Schmitt and his wife Lisa of Federalsburg, and Gregory Schmitt and his wife Lea Anne of Secretary, eight grandchildren, Aaron Schmitt (Brittany), Nicholas Schmitt (Julie), Patrick Schmitt (Karla), Adrian Schmitt (Brian), Ashley Stiles (Brandon), Gary Schmitt (Anna), Ben Schmitt and Brady Schmitt; five great-grandchildren, Jillian, Aiden, Zak, Ryland and Kaylin; seven siblings, Bobby Timms and his wife Delores of Stevensville, Jimmy Timms and his companion Ginny of Centreville, Sharon Ross and her husband Sonny of Federalsburg, Pat Barr of Marydel, Herbie Timms and his wife Carolyn of Easton, Lee Harper and her husband Clay of Hartley, DE, and Tracey Hamonko and her husband Jim of Hartley, DE; and a special friend, Mike Ozman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Timms and a sister, Miriam Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 at Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg with the Bishop Ray Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00.
