Louie F Altizer's Obituary
Louie F. Altizer, Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Shore Regional Medical Center at Easton. He was 83.
He was born October 20, 1937 in Squire, WV the son of the late George Altizer and Mrylie Williamson Altizer.
Growing up on his family farm in West Virginia, Louie graduated from Frankfort High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. After his service, he returned home and began his working career. He started at Ford Motor Company and later worked for Joseph Zimmer Company as a plumber for over 22 years.
In his free time, Louie loved to cook, garden, grow almost anything, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Also an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Altizer of Denton, three children: Louie Altizer, Jr. and his wife Jill of Federalsburg, Michelle Dolly of Bridgeville, and Makia Manokey-Robinson of Milford; four sisters-in-law: Judy of Columbus, OH, Darlene of North Carolina, Val of Denton, and Patricia of Easton; 13 grandchildren: Shawn Dolly, Derrick Dolly, Kasey Dolly, Brandon Dolly, Mikey Dolly, Larezza Truman, Leilani Truman, Dustin Truman, Louie Altizer, III, Adam Altizer, Eddie Evans, Isaiah Robinson and Alonzo Robinson; great-grandchildren; and his siblings Asa, Thelma and Shirley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his daughter, Lesa Altizer.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Burial will be private.
