Louis Martin Scott, Jr.'s Obituary
Louis M. Scott, Jr. Of Greenwood passed on June 26,2024 due to complications from injuries he received, in a trucking accident in 2022. He was 55.
Born on February 12, 1969 he was the son of the late Louis M. Sr. and Mildred Willey Scott. After attending public schools he went to work driving dump truck hauling black top, sand and stone. Louis then moved on to hauling propane to many chicken farms in various parts of Delaware and Maryland for Pep-up. Louis was currently working for Southern States Milford co-op as a fuel oil delivery driver at the time of his accident.
Louis was a quiet man and enjoyed the simple things, such as early morning drives to deer watch, going to Assateauge to see the ponies, trips to Dairy Queen for his favorite Strawberry milk shake & fries. He liked to keep busy as he was always doing something around the house. One of his greatest joys was working with his son Austin restoring a 1942 Farmall tractor, and teaching him how to work on things, Louis also loved spending time with his German Shepard Athena. He was always willing to help others when he could.
Louis is survived by his wife of 28 years Michelle Quaile Scott, a son Austin Scott-Smith, a sister Diane Ludy of PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Louis, Sr who died in February and his mother who died in January.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 6, 2024 at the Framptom Funeral Home-Fleischauer Chapel, Greenwood DE; at 1:00PM where a viewing will be held from noon until 1:00PM
Burial will be in the St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood DE.
