Louise W. Massey's Obituary
Louise Waldis Massey, formerly of Federalsburg passed away at the Seaford Center in Seaford, DE Friday, March 9, 2018. She was 98 years old.
She was born on February 24,1920 on the family farm near Federalsburg, the daughter of the late, Joseph Waldis and Minnie Scott Waldis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Massey in 1988.
Louise was a homemaker and thoroughly enjoyed her home. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Federalsburg where she had served as a sunday school teacher. Louise was a faithful member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and loved to dress nice where ever she went. Her other passions were spending time with her family and sewing.
She is survived by three children, Joseph Massey of Chestertown, MD, Steve Massey and his wife, Nancy of Mardela Springs, MD, Janet Bushaw of Ft. Myers, FL, three granddaughters, Cheryl Collins, Keli Herrin, Traci Towers all of Ft. Myers, FL, a great-grandson, Paul Collins of Griffith, GA, and three great- great grandsons, two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Orn of Hayward, CA and Margaret Wheatley of Federalsburg,and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Virginia Nichols, Reba Salmons, Ruth Dodd, Kathleen DeGraw, Russell Waldis, Frank Waldis, Gertrude Lord, and Bill Waldis.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Framptom Funeral home in Federalsburg with Rev. Pam Bockart officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
