Louise Downes Wright Adams' Obituary
Louise Downes Wright Adams of Federalsburg passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, Maryland. She was 92.
She was born on December 21, 1916 near Harmony, Caroline County, Maryland the daughter of the late Vernon Otto Wright and Lois Annie Shufelt.
She graduated from Federalsburg High School class of 1934. She was married to F. Pierce Adams on December 6, 1940. She was a homemaker and an active farmer’s wife. She was a member of the First Church of God in Federalsburg, serving in the Grace Miller Circle, Nursery, Church Affairs Committee, Church Historian, and the Women of the Church of God. She also enjoyed Christian radio.
She is survived by five children, Barbara A. Walters of Ridgely, MD, Mary A. Zlock and her husband George of Dover, DE, Alton P. Adams and his wife Dawn of Federalsburg, MD, Jerry Mark Adams, Sr. and his companion Patty of Marydel, MD and Karen A. Penney and her husband David of Felton, DE, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren , one sister, Hazel Robinson of Easton and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. in Federalsburg with the Rev. Denzil Cheek and the Rev. Doug Morley officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery near Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m.
