Today, picking through an old box of papers,I found a letter Lucille wrote to me almost thirty years ago. On an internet search I’ve just learned of her Going Home. In 1982 Lucille felt led to visit Limerick in Ireland. She came to the church where I was minister/ pastor. Her wise, prayerful and gentle ministry, over six months, brought me to a fresh and powerful relationship with the Lord, through the Spirit. Thank God that Lucille obeyed the call of God. I rejoice she has now been received into the nearest presence of Christ Jesus. Des Bain. Dun Laoghaire, Ireland.

I am so blessed to have known Miss Lucille. We shared our love of music and our love of laughter. One of my memories is of "her seat" at church but another was visiting her at Pine Bluff. I am so glad she is now enjoying our Lord for eternity. My condolences to her family.

I've known Ms. Lucille since I was 5...I'm 41 now. She was my first, 1st Grade teacher at El Shaddai and has been a friend ever since. My mother & I would take her for her grocery shopping trips, as she just whipped around the store in the motorized cart :) Also, helping with some odd n ends at her place. It was an honor to serve her in what ways we could, especially now, in not knowing those days would be nearing to her last. I remember sending her an Easter card and we happen to be there the day she got it in the mail...this, unbeknownst to me, would be my last time seeing her, visiting with her and being in her company. Is when she was to be picked up to go into rehab for her falls and such. I'll ALWAYS remember when I was younger and she was teaching a bunch of us kids at church, and one of her ways to get the kiddos to be quiet and sit....she would tell us to sit/be quiet or "she would sit upon our little bodies and crush them" with her Ms. Lucille voice and smile :) She is supremely joyous in Heaven now. Hugs!!

Lucille's beaming smile & contagious laugh will be missed! Loved to hear her testify to the Lord's goodness. The last we visited, although being ill, she was fully creative in musical thought & production to draw others to the Lord through each. TOGETHER forever with Jesus was her desire for all of us as well as herself.
