Lucinda Horsey's Obituary
Lucinda Horsey passed away on Wed. Jan. 14, 2009 at Seaford Genesis HealthCare. She was 91 years old.
She was born July 26, 1917 in Princess Anne, MD, the daughter of the late Orlando and Arinthia Hayward Bivens.
She was a domestic worker in private home. She was a member and former “Mother” of the Mt. Zion Holy Church in Delmar, DE
She is survived by 12 children, George Bivens of Salisbury, MD, Roy Horsey of Laurel, DE William R. Horsey, Jr. of Milford, DE, Samuel H. Horsey of Delmar, DE, Donald L. Horsey of Seaford, Milton J. Horsey of Bridgeville, DE, James T. Horsey of Salisbury, Nathaniel Horsey of Harbeson, DE, Delores Horsey of Laurel, Marian Lee Smith of Wilmington, DE, Catherine V. Horsey and Elaine Horsey Parker, both of Laurel, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Viola Jones of Eden, MD and Betty Wittington of Princess Anne, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Horsey, Sr. , and two children Elwood Horsey and Patricia Ann Saez.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Holy Church with Elder Ethel Oney officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthews Church Cemetery in Laurel. Friends may call at the church on Wed. from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m.
