Mardella Scarborough Magee, the daughter of the late Addis Scarborough and Mary Trollie, was born November 1, 1916 in Marion Station, Maryland.
She lived in her early years with her grandmother Edith Trollie.
She was educated in the Public School System in New Jersey.
Mardella was married to James S. Magee on December 24, 1944. He died on March 6, 1999.
She and James raised their nephew Charles A. Magee, Jr. (Lucky). He died on October 27, 2009.
Mardella attended Zion United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women of Federalsburg and the Federalsburg Outreach Group.
She was a beautician for many years and she was a member of the Eastern Shore Beauticians Association Local #122 for many years.
Mardella was a former member of Eastern Star (Mary Jane Henry #54) of Preston, MD.
She worked at the Hurlock Elementary School Head Start program for many years. She loved working with children.
Left to mourn her passing are first cousins. Elaine Hinson, Preston Jewett (Sarah) and Harold Byrd (Thomasina), second cousins, Mitzie and Carolyn Mathews Coward, a niece and very close friend Lillie Magee, God-daughter, Judith Blake, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
