Margaret A. Dickenson's Obituary
Margaret White Dickenson of Delmar, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Tidal Health at Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland. She was 86.
She was born on June 13, 1935 in Hurlock, Maryland, the daughter of the late Norman E. Milligan, Sr., and Mabel Alice Seeders Milligan.
She worked at the former Excelsior Pearl Works in Federalsburg. Later she worked for Burnley Wyatt in Federalsburg, she worked with her sister-in-law running a bar and restaurant, she sold u-pick vegetables from her yard. In her free time, she enjoyed making homemade candy, and loved to go out to eat out with her family and friends.
Mrs. Dickenson was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Delmar Fire Dept. for more than 20 years.
She was married to Robert L. White, Sr. He preceded her in death. She was married to Houston Dickenson. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Robert L. White, Jr. of Hurlock, and three daughters: Shirley Adkins of Delmar, MD, Barbara Laramore and Phyllis King all of Delmar, MD; three grandchildren: James King, Jr, David Lee King and Amy Hastings; three great-grandchildren: Holly Laramore, Justin King, and Amanda King; Siblings Norman Milligan, Jr of Pasadena, MD; two brothers: Charles Milligan of Homer City, PA.
In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her siblings: M. Russell Milligan, William Milligan, G. Ronald Milligan, Shirley Milligan, Rebecca Milligan and Robert Milligan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Lisa Smack officiating. Burial will follow at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to the start of the service.
