Margaret A. Larimore's Obituary
Margaret Larimore of Harrington passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Delaware Bay Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Delaware. She was 80.
She was born on December 3, 1945 in Lewes, Delaware the daughter of the late Frances Mumford.
Margaret lived a life filled with devotion, love, and unyielding commitment to her family and community.
Margaret was a loving wife to C. Roger Larimore, who preceded her in death in 2015 after 45 cherished years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life on their farm in Harrington, where they raised chickens for Perdue Farms for 33 years. Their partnership was a testament to hard work and dedication, as well as a profound love for the land and their contributions to local agriculture.
A devoted member of the Farmington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Delaware Farm Bureau, Margaret actively participated in her community, always striving to lend a helping hand. She found great joy in the simple moments of life, particularly those spent with her family and her loyal companion, Max, her beloved dog.
She is survived by two children: Charles Larimore and his wife Renee of Mardela Springs, MD, and Melinda Egan and her husband Trevor of Milford; a brother Frank Mumford of Virginia; and her best friend, Bonnie Hitchens.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Mumford.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood. Pastor Gregory Fleischauer will officiate. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00.
