Margaret Bailey Robbins' Obituary
Margaret Jane Bailey Robbins passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Candle Light Cove in Easton. She was born in Seaford, DE on November 5, 1932 to the late Mary Bradley Bailey and Lehman L. Bailey. On October 8, 1951, she married Ralph Kenneth Robbins who passed away on March 23, 2022.
As a young girl, she worked at her parent's feed mill on Bailey Store Road in Federalsburg. Margaret attended North Dorchester schools and graduated from Hurlock High School in 1949. Margaret started work with the Dorchester County School Board as a cafeteria worker in September of 1972. In 1990 she was promoted to Assistant Cafeteria Manager at Sandy Hill Elementary and she retired on July 1, 1993. She developed life-long friends with her co-workers. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Margaret and Kenny began doing wood crafts as a hobby. Kenny would make wooden crafts and Margaret would paint and stain them and they became regulars at local craft shows for years while developing deep friendships with their fellow crafters. She loved to crochet.
She is survived by her two sons Mark (Terry) of Rhodesdale, MD and Dennis (Wendy) of Pleasant View, TN, two grandchildren, Mark and Deborah from Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant sons Michael and Gordon and a brother Philip Bailey.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, c/o Lois Ann Pinder, 30399 Fire Tower Rd., Laurel, DE 19956.
