Margaret Seaman Rosebrock's Obituary
Margaret Seaman Rosebrock passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at UMSMC at Easton. She was 96.
She was born in Bush Township, North Carolina on August 27, 1919, the daughter of the late Arnold Seaman and Johanna Hecht Seaman Brauer. Her husband, George William Rosebrock preceded her in death. Margaret graduated from Norlina High School in 1936 and was the valedictorian of her class. She continued her education by taking business courses. She was a homemaker. In 1951, she started attending Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston and continued as a member for over sixty years serving in the Ladies Aid and in the choir. She volunteered at the Lutheran Mission Society of Maryland. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening of flowers and vegetables. She is survived by two sons, Albert G. Rosebrock of Sherwood, Ohio, Rex A. Rosebrock and his wife, M. Kim of Preston, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Rosebrock of Sherwood, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, Douglas, Karol, Todd, Scott, Michelle, Jim, Ann, Brian, Kathy, Mark, Jeff, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Lillian Brauer, and Thelma Seaman, and several nieces, and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Margaret Rosebrock, two step-children, Herbert G. Rosebrock and Hertha Hertel, and six siblings, Clara Strube, Albert Seaman, Carl Seaman, Walter Saeman, Elizabeth Nolde, and Herman Brauer. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Pastor Chuck Braband officiating.
A visitation with the family will be from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lutheran Mission Society, 415 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
