Margaret Gannon Ryan's Obituary
Margaret Gannon Ryan, of Seaford, DE, died at Candle Light Cove, Easton, MD, on Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was 86 years old.Born in Easton, MD on March 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Raymond and Lillian Shanahan Gannon. At an early age, her parents moved to Baltimore where Margaret grew up. She attended Catholic school there, and graduated from Seton High School. Following her graduation, she married John “Jack” Ryan. She was a stay-at-home mother raising her four children. As her children grew, she attended and graduated from Anne Arundel Community College where she received an Associate’s degree in Business. Mrs. Ryan was a Logistics Manager for Goddard Space Center before her retirement in 1999, when she and her husband moved to Seaford, DE.In addition to her beloved husband Jack, Mrs. Ryan is survived by four children: Deborah Albright (Richard) of West Chester, PA; Timothy Ryan (Chris) of Pasadena, MD; Karen Beazell (John) of Potomac Falls, VA; and Andrew Ryan of Millington MD. She is also survived by a brother Donald Gannon of Parkville, MD, as well as nine grandchildren: Mark, Jennifer, Jason, Ivanna, Nicholas, Kaitlin, Courtney, Olivia, Sam; one great-grandson son, Henry, and her beloved companion “Nutmeg.”A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday December 3, 2020 at the Olivet Cemetery, St. Michaels, MD.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org/donate
