Margaret Ann Todd's Obituary
Margaret Ann Todd (Perry) of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025 with her loving family by her side.
She was born February 6, 1940 at Easton Hospital, Easton, Maryland.
She was the daughter of William Melvin Perry and Elizabeth Agnes Moxey Perry and was raised in Preston, MD on the family farm. She attended Preston School and Federalsburg High School.
On April 20, 1957, Margaret married Charles Berkeley Todd, Jr. and they made their home in Federalsburg, MD. Margaret worked for many years at the family business M & L Motors until the dealership closed. Margaret and Berkeley then formed their own Mom & Pop carpentry business known as Todd's Home Improvement. Margaret worked side by side with her husband for 16 years until his health declined. Margaret taught Sunday school for 5 years and Bible School for 5 years. She served as Caroline County PTA Secretary for 5 years also. She enjoyed volunteering with the Federalsburg Girl Scout Troop when needed which her daughters were members. She also enjoyed going to baseball games and watching her son "Mike" pitch as he was a left-handed pitcher on his team.
Margaret is survived by her three loving children Terry Lou Todd Brown (Garey) of Federalsburg, Bonnie Sue Todd Cohee (Ronnie) of Preston, and Charles Michael Todd "Mike" of Centreville.
She lovingly has four grandsons, one granddaughter, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, brothers William Melvin Perry, Jr., and Melvin Richard Perry, Sr. both of Preston, a sister Eleanor Perry Smith of Hurlock, a nephew Melvin Richard Perry, Jr., and nieces Nancy Perry Milligan and Brenda Smith Luebbecke (who was like a daughter to her) from Preston.
Margaret was a supportive wife and cared for many family members through periods of their declining health. She was a wonderful, loving mother who always put the needs of her children ahead of her own. Her children admired her strength and the pride she took to maintain their meticulous log cabin home that she and her husband built themselves by hand in 1980.
The family will miss her every day and hold precious, loving memories in their hearts forever.
A funeral service for Margaret will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1:00 at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Visitation will begin at 12:00, one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg following the funeral service.
