Margaret Martin White's Obituary
Margaret Martin White passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at her granddaughter’s home in Federalsburg. She was 97.
She was born on January 12, 1918 the daughter of the late Burleigh Martin and Lottie Tull Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett “Whitey” White in 1944.
She worked for the former C & P Telephone Company for 40 faithful years. After retirement she worked for Sisk & Sons.
Margaret is survived by her grandchildren, Darryl N. White and his wife, Jo Ann of Easton, Amy W. Bennett and her husband, Ray of Federalsburg, seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter and Jaret Bennett, William, Matthew and Adam White, Sonya White, and a brother, Alvin Martin of Bloxom, VA, and a sister, Jean Sellers of Camden, DE and many special nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Newton White, her daughter-in-law, Sonya M. White, a sister, Virginia Scott, and a brother, William Martin.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 12 noon at the fellowship hall at Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12. Inurnment will be private at Hill Crest Cemetery.
