Margaret L. Johnson's Obituary
Margaret Lorraine Travers Johnson, formerly of Federalsburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at the Taylor-Melfa House in Denton. She was 76.
She was born Sept. 8, 1934 in East New Market, MD, the daughter of the late Norman Travers and Louise Wheatley Travers Tull.
She had worked for 20 years for Safeway in Federalsburg and in Easton, and retired from Sisk Fulfillment Service in Federalsburg after 20 years of service. Margaret had attended Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel, DE and the Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Reliance. She loved her family and enjoyed reading.
She is survived by five children, Harold Willard Johnson, and his wife, June, of New Jersey, Diane Johnson Walker of Seaford, DE, Carl Allen Johnson of Bridgeville, DE, Steven Mark Johnson and Kenneth Scott Johnson, both of Florida; sixteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Lee Murphy of Ellendale, DE, several nieces and nephews, and a friend and former husband Carl H. Johnson of Cambridge, MD. She was preceded in death by a son Danny Ray Johnson on Feb. 20, 2010 and a brother Harold “Doc” Travers on Nov. 11, 2010.
