Margaret O. Jones' Obituary
Margaret Oletta Grenadier Jones of Hurlock, Maryland passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Envoy of Denton. She was 89.
She was born May 26, 1922 in Betterton, MD the daughter of the late John W. and Margraet Tranberg Grenadier Cheezum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry T. Jones, Sr. on February 3, 1983.
She had worked at the former Hurlock Bakery that was right next to her home when her children were growing up. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Hurlock where she loved taking care of the children in the nursery and working with the hospitality committee and later joined the Nifty Fifty Plus group. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, plastic canvas, gardening, taking pictures, and babysitting many family members and children.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Harry T. Jones, Jr. of Tampa, FL, and Wayne Jones and his wife Eva Ann of Hurlock, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, Agnes Cheezum of Easton, and a brother, Douglas Cheezum and his wife, Ginny of Cordova, and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Cheezum and a brother John W. Grenadier, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Framptom Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Framptom Funeral Home, P. A. 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632 to help defray funeral costs.
