Marian M. Lutz
Easton, Marian M. “Teen†Lutz of Easton, quietly left this life in the early morning of Sunday, August 16, 2015, to continue on with her Lord in Heaven. She was 82. Born on November 12, 1932 in Cambridge, MD. she was the daughter of the late Arvey Washington Moore and Marian Jones Moore. She grew up in Easton, MD. and graduated from Easton High School in 1949, the last class to attend only to grade 11. On October 8, 1950 she married William Nelson Lutz. They made their home in Easton, where they worked together at the Western Auto store until 1977. She then worked for the Talbot Bank in Easton until her retirement in 1996. Marian was a devoted, lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Easton, where she served in various capacities during her lifetime. She will be fondly remembered as one of their great “Prayer Warriorsâ€. She enjoyed going to the beach, doing word puzzles, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Lutz is survived by her three daughters; Charlotte Scott of Easton, Donna Baynard of Trappe, and Lee Ann Shortall (Billy) of McDaniel. Eight grandchildren; Heather Parrott, J.R. Shortall (Emily), Megan Yowell (Ray), Mary Collins (James), Andy Shortall (Jamie), Bryan Baynard (Sarah), Melissa Harding (Howard),and Michael Shortall. Seven Great-grandchildren; Kristina, Joshua, Gracie, Kenton, Reece, Maggie, and Isabell. One Aunt, Ann Brooks of Church Creek, and her beloved cats; Moe, and Joe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years William “Bill†Lutz, a brother, Norman J. Moore, a sister, Ruth M. Asmussen, and her three son- in-laws, Michael Yowell, Kenny Baynard, and Eugene Scott. A viewing will be held at the First Baptist Church, 115 Idlewild, Ave. Easton on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the Church on Saturday, August 22, at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton. Donations in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Easton, or to the Talbot Hospice Foundation 586 Cynwood Drive Easton, MD. 21601. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home, P.A. of St. Michaels, MD.
