Marie Shortall Albright
Easton. Marie D. Shortall Albright of Easton, MD died at the Memorial Hospital, Easton, on Saturday, August 18, 2012. She was 81. Born on April 4, 1931 in Wittman, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Horney Davenport. Mrs. Albright was a lifelong resident of Talbot Co. who graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1949. In 1951 she married Percy J. (Pat) Shortall, Jr. an area farmer and they made their home in Tunis Mills, MD. Mr. Shortall died in August 1996. Marie worked as a Clerk for Easton Utilities until retiring after 22 years of service. In 2007 she married Arthur Albright of Royal Oak. Since then she, and her husband have enjoyed traveling, and spending winters in Florida, until residing in Easton permanently. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Albright is survived by four children; Michael Shortall (Dorothy) of Delmar, MD., Linda S. Hurley of St. Michaels, Mary S. Dulin (Steve) of Trappe, and Susan S. Russell (Rick) of Easton, three step children; Charlene Brassington (Dean) of Norfolk, VA, Cynthia Mann of Farmville, VA, and Arthur Albright, Jr. of Royal Oak, two sisters; Margaret Bridges of Easton, Mary Kemp of Salisbury, six grandchildren; John Shortall, Alison Shortall, James Russell, Joseph Russell, Katie Russell, and Steven Wright. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Hurley & Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. where a viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Easton, MD. Memorial donations may be made to the Talbot County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1143, Easton, MD 21601.
