Marilyn A. Marshall's Obituary
Marilyn Marshall of Easton died February 19, 2017 at UMSMC at Easton at the age of 89.
She was born in Blue Island, Illinois on January 9, 1927. Mrs. Marshall was the daughter of the late John M. Stuebe and Lucille DeChene Stuebe.
After graduation from Blue Island Community High School, she worked as an administrative assistant for Fiber Dums for over 40 years. She was a devoted care giver for her parents and mother-in-law in their declining years.
Mrs. Marshall was baptized, confirmed and married at the First Lutheran Church in Blue Island.
She married Dory Marshall on February 14, 1949. After their retirement they moved to Peoria, Arizona. They were members of Peace Lutheran Church, where she served as a Stephen Minister.
Mrs. Marshall had on daughter, Doreen J. Fry, who was tragically killed along with her father, Dory in an auto accident on March 11, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her brother John M. Stuebe, Jr.
After the death of her husband and daughter, Mrs. Marshall moved to Easton to be near her cousin Jeanette Schmick and her two grandsons, then living locally with realtives. She was a member of Immanuel Church in Preston.
She is survived by her grandsons Charles Fry (Kimberly) and William Fry, nephews John and David Stuebe and niece Carole Stuebe, sister in law Georgia Stuebe, cousins Richard Isler, Jeanette Schmick, Fred Schmick, Jr, Carol Trice, Ruth Thomas and Ruth Baumert.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston. Interment will be held in Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, AZ at a later date. Family will receive friends 10:30 to 11:00 am prior to the service at the church.
