Marilyn Mervine's Obituary
Marilyn Hallam Mervine, 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the home of her daughter in Duxbury, MA with her two beloved children by her side.
Marilyn was born on September 1, 1931 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Wilfred Hallam and Edna Schaltenbrand Hallam.
After her education at United Wesleyan College, Marilyn married the love of her life, James Clark Mervine Sr. "Pete", and they raised their family in Dover and Harrington, DE.
Marliyn's life was centered on her faith and family. She was an avid reader and lived a life of grace and humility. Her smile was infectious and she brightened the lives of everyone she met.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Kathleen Mervine Ruel of Duxbury, MA and James Clark Mervine Jr. and his wife Helen Gardner of London, England and Grandchildren: Felix Mervine, Elsie Mervine, Emma Ruel and Nolan Ruel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and siblings Bill, Bernard, Ruth and Paul.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood, DE. Burial will follow at Saint Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.
