Mark Andrew Beck's Obituary
Our beautiful son, Staff Sgt. Mark Andrew Beck II passed away at the age of 24 on Saturday February 03, 2024. He was a proud soldier and a beloved son, grandson, brother, father, and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Mark Beck (Christine Beck) and Michele Tynan (Brian Tynan) as well as his three sisters, Katrina, Ashley, and Olivia, along with his brother Tyler, his beautiful son Mark Andrew Beck III, and his grandparents, Mary Beck, Ranee Rogers, Bessie and Dean Finnefrock, Linda and Thomas Gibbs, and David Tynan Sr.. His dog, Willy will also miss him and his hugs dearly.
Mark is leaving behind a family that loves him more than words can express as well as many friends from around the world.
Mark was known for his enormous heart, his listening ear, and his big personality. Mark had a favorite Bible verse; Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Him which strengthens me." We know that Mark was full of strength, and he has accomplished so many things in his short life.
Staff Sgt. Mark Andrew Beck II was the quickest to certify as a Target Material Production Analyst in Army GEOINT Battalion history, which led to his selection as the Targeting Work Center NCOIC. He trained and mentored Soldiers through the Advanced Target Development pipeline which enabled the Army to participate in deliberate target planning and execution in support of Joint Targeting requirements.
Staff Sgt. Beck's awards include the Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and the Army Service Ribbon. His decorations include the Army Basic Space Badge and Expert Marksmanship Qualification.
A funeral service will be held at Framptom Funeral Home, 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 starting at 12:30pm with a visiation taking place one hour prior. Burial will follow at Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD where Military Honors will be rendered.
