Marsha L. Joines' Obituary
Marsha Lee Joines of Federalsburg passed away at Caroline Hospice House in Denton on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was 66.
She was born on December 27, 1949, in Easton, Maryland daughter of Mabel Towers Payne of Federalsburg and the late Earl H. Jewell.
Marsha graduated from Colonel Richardson High School with the class of 1968. Her previous employments included: Charlie Williams Trucking, Hitch Trucking, Glacier Refrigerated Express, Federal Paper, with her last employment being B & G Foods as Safety Manager. She was a member of Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg all of her life. She worked in multiple ministries within the church which included: the nursing home ministry, church bus ministry, children’s church, and the ladies auxiliary. Marsha’s hobbies included, crocheting, playing the piano, interior design, and loved collecting rooster and chicken collectibles, and watching NASCAR with her favorite drivers being Dale Earnhardt, Sr and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
She was an amazing encourager for her sons, especially Andrew in which she felt he could do absolutely anything despite his medical conditions. Marsha was the best wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt anyone could ever ask for and she was the true protector of her entire family. Marsha always had a heart of compassion & love for others.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ernest Lee Joines, a son, Andrew Lee Joines (Dana Haynes) of Federalsburg, two grandchildren, Cody Blizzard and Alexis Joines both of Federalsburg, three siblings, Dawn Adams (Alton), Billy Jewell (Diane), Tammy Payne all of Federalsburg, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Matthew Tyler Lee Joines, and a brother, Eddie Jewell.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Park Lane Church of God with Rev. Roy Collins and Pastor Keith Colona officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 to defray funeral costs.
