Marvin Lee Tunnell's Obituary
Marvin L. Tunnell of Federalsburg died at his home on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was 77.
Born in Wilmington DE. on November 24, 1945 he was the son of the late Elden Tunnell and Emma Seward Tunnell. He attended public school in New Castle Co Delaware. On October 17, 1969 he married the former Phyllis Ann "Kitty" Murphy, they made their home in various places until settling in Federalsburg. Mrs. Tunnell died in January 2010. Mr. Tunnell worked for Trenton Pipe Co. in Federalsburg, for 32 years during the same period of time he also worked for Walmart in Seaford for 20 yrs. He later retired for health reasons.
Mr. Tunnell had many Hobby's to include traveling to the Slots, Carnivals, Dancing, his pets; Sugar & Pepper, and of course his work was like a hobby to him. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children; Sylvia (Donnie), Connie (Jerry), Heart Smith, and Marvetta (Leon). One grandson whom they raised like a son; Cory Aviles (Tameka). two brothers; Eldon Tunnell, Jr and Terry Lamb, also survived by 10 additional grandchildren and 17 Great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by two Grandchildren, one brother; Bill Lamb, Jr. and one sister; Ellen Thrope.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM at the Framptom Funeral Home , 216 N. Main St. Federalsburg on Thursday June 29, 2023, where a viewing will be held from 12:00 until 1:00PM.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg.
