Trappe, Mary Croswell Diefenderfer, of Trappe passed away peacefully at home with her family, at her side on the morning of July 28, 2013, following an eleven month battle with cancer. She was 69. Mary is survived by her husband of 37 years; Ephraim Diefenderfer, Sr. daughters; Christina Marth, Heather Diefenderfer, Penny Newnam, sons; Benjamin Diefenderfer, David Diefenderfer, Geoffrey Diefenderfer, Step-children; Daniel Diefenderfer Ephraim “Sonny” Diefenderfer, Jr., and Polly Hanes, 13 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren. One brother; Robert Croswell. Funeral services will be held at the Trappe United Methodist Church, at 11:00AM, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Friends may call at the church from 10:00AM until time of the service. Burial will be in the Landing Neck Cemetery, Trappe. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Trappe Branch of the Talbot Bank, 29349 maple Ave., Trappe, MD. 21673, C/o M. Christina Marth or Penny Newnam.
